Ann Webb Pastor’s Benevolence Fund
This fund was established to honor the memory of Ann Webb, mother of church member Tina Webb, who frequently shared her vision that the church ought to have a benevolence fund for pastors to use at their discretion to meet urgent needs within the Richmond community and our church community as a result of financial hardship or challenges unforeseen. Through your generosity, this fund has helped provide economic security for vulnerable individuals, missions support in Richmond, and to show care and concern to many in the wide orbit of Grace Baptist Church.
A Good Idea with Generous Insistence
It all started the afternoon Courtney came to visit my mother after becoming our pastor. My mom asked Courtney if Grace had a benevolence fund that the pastor could use at their discretion. Courtney politely told her no, and my mom insisted that she needed one. Nearly every time Courtney talked to her, she would ask, “Have you got that benevolence fund yet?” After my mother’s death, Lisa and I shared with Courtney that we intended to start a fund in honor of my mom, and thus the Ann Webb Benevolence Fund was born!

When we started this fund, I must admit that I had no idea just how many GBC members, friends, family members and community members the fund would support. I want to say a BIG thank you to the GBC community for helping this fund to grow since it began. Without each of you we could not continue to help others, and I know that my mother is so very proud of everything
that we have been able to accomplish.
