River City Faith Network
The River City Faith Network is a diverse family of churches working together to bring living water to transform our communities through the love of Christ and for the Glory of God. Rich in Baptist heritage, our churches unite to serve the underserved through camp and ministry centers that create a sense of community, increase self-esteem, and that restore, heal, and reconcile persons to God and to each other.
OREGON HILL BAPTIST CENTER
The Oregon Hill Baptist Center is one of three Baptist Centers located in inner-city Richmond. The Center is supported by the churches of the River City Faith Network along with others outside the Network who partner with us to assist our ministries. Currently our services include: a cooked meal to over 100 people, a locker room that allows 91 individuals a place to safely keep their important belongings, a clothing closet especially geared towards the unhoused, a mailing address, free haircuts once a month, and the ability to do their laundry twice a month, and more.
Camp Alkulana
Camp Alkulana is a year-round program of the River City Faith Network with a targeted summer program to low-income, at-risk children and youth from the Richmond area. Our aim is to provide a camp experience for campers who would not otherwise be able to afford it. At Camp Alkulana, children and youth have the opportunity to get out of the city and explore the natural world in the Allegheny mountains and the beautiful George Washington forest.
