The Shepherd’s Center of Richmond

The Shepherd’s Center of Richmond is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization for service and education. Its mission is to encourage older adults to remain active and independent through enrichment programs and volunteer service to their peers.

Active. Independent. Engaged.

Older adults staying active and independent through lifelong learning and volunteer service.

The Shepherd’s Center of Richmond provides clients with free, round-trip transportation to medical appointments and grocery stores. Unlike a bus or taxi, TSCOR’s transportation is provided by volunteers who give clients personalized attention and door-to-door assistance.

This video features the transportation services provided to older adults by Shepherd’s Center. You may see a familiar face in Randy Scott, who volunteers as a driver. Bernie Henderson also serves as board president for TSCOR.
